Valley Brook Services installs new septic systems and replaces existing systems in Western Pennsylvania. This is install and replacement work only, built to county code requirements, by a crew that digs for a living. If you are building on a lot without sewer, or your existing system needs to be fully replaced, we can help you with the installation.
New Installations and Full Replacements
A septic system is more than a tank. The tank, the piping, the distribution and the drain field all go in by excavation, and the layout has to match the design approved for the property. We install new systems for properties that do not have one, and we replace systems that need to come out and be put in new. Our photo gallery shows the kinds of work involved, from tanks set in open excavations to stone beds and distribution piping.
Installed to County Code
Septic systems in Pennsylvania are installed under county and local requirements, and the system on your property has to be built to the permit and plan that was approved for it. We install to those requirements, so the system that goes in matches what was approved.
The Permit and Percolation Process
Before a new system can be permitted, the soil has to be tested. In Pennsylvania that typically means test holes are dug and the local sewage authority tests how well the soil percolates, and that testing is part of the permit process. If you already have a permit, you have already been through that. If you do not, we will explain how it works so you know what comes first.
Where You Are Starting From
Some customers come to us with a permit and design in hand, and some are at the very beginning. Either is a normal starting point. Tell us where you are and we will explain what comes next, rather than leaving you to guess.
Install and Replacement Only
We focus on new septic installations and full system replacements. We do not take repair-only calls, and we do not install septic systems in Ohio. Our septic service area is Pennsylvania. Our Ohio work is site work, which you can read about on our site preparation page.
Digging Is What We Do
A septic installation is an excavation project, and excavation is what we do all day. Our crews and equipment handle the digging, the stone and the backfill, with our own dump trucks hauling the material. That makes us a good fit if your septic installation is part of a larger site project, like a new home, a garage pad, or a lot that also needs clearing and grading.
What to Have Ready
- The property address and the county
- Whether you are building new or replacing an existing system
- Whether you already have a design and permit, or are starting from scratch
- Your timeline, including when your build or sale needs the system in place
If you are not sure where you stand, that is fine. Send what you know through the contact form.
